This was tonight's dinner, homemade beef steaks , mixed vegetables in olive oil and dijon mustard dressing and mashed potatoes. The steaks have been marinated for over a month and kept frozen since there were 8 pieces when we bought it. We grilled it using Kenwood multi-snacker grill. The vegetables which were broccoli, cauliflowers and carrots were boiled. The homemade salad dressings were made of extra virgin olive oil, mulberry vinegar, dijon mustard, salt and pepper. The yummy mashed potatoes were the usual milk (ideal milk), butter, salt and pepper.

The salad dressings.
Olive oil (extra virgin) and za'tar from Palestine.
Guys, just want to highlight the benefits of olive oil. Olive and olive oil is mentioned in the Al-Quran in seven occasions, the famous ones being in surah An-Nur and Surah At-Tin. Olive oil if used or eaten is part of Sunnah. Hazrat Sayyed Al-Ansari narrates that the Prophet (Pbuh) said “Eat the olive oil and massage it over your bodies since it is a holy (mubarak) tree.”(Tirmizi, Ibn Maja). In addition there are many health benefits esp in coronary and arterial health and cancer prevention that are proven scientifically due to its monounsaturated and rich in omega 6 and linoleic acids. We bought the Palestine extra virgin olive oil because it is the best in the world (but not the main producer, Italy is) with the lowest acidity plus of course its a way to help their economy.
Good night!
